Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from BlackRock, Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The headcount is the figure the sources below state for 2025. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from BlackRock, Inc. Form 10-K for fiscal year 2025, BlackRock, Inc. Description

BlackRock, Inc. manages money for institutional and retail clients and had $14.0 trillion of assets under management at 31 December 2025, with about 24,900 staff in more than 30 countries. Most of the income is fees on those assets: investment advisory, administration and securities lending revenue was $19.2 billion of $24.2 billion of total 2025 revenue, performance fees added $1.4 billion (6 percent of revenue) and technology services and subscription revenue, sold through the Aladdin, eFront and Preqin platforms, added $2.0 billion. Its iShares exchange traded funds held $5.5 trillion at the end of 2025 and took in $527 billion of net inflows during the year. The listed registrant is a holding company that was incorporated as BlackRock Funding, Inc. and took the BlackRock, Inc. name on 1 October 2024, the day the acquisition of the infrastructure manager Global Infrastructure Partners closed; the purchase of the credit manager HPS Investment Partners followed on 1 July 2025 and added $118 billion of assets under management.

Every position this manager reported for the quarter ended 06-30-2026, each as a percentage of the $6.71tn book. Weights are by value, the only unit that compares across different companies.

$6.71tn across 5453 reported positions, quarter ended 06-30-2026

Weights are of the book this manager REPORTED on Form 13F for the quarter, which is the only complete denominator a 13F gives. A 13F covers US listed, long, US custodied positions: cash, bonds, foreign listings, wholly owned businesses and short positions are not in it and are not in these percentages. For an operating company that also runs a portfolio, the reported book is a fraction of the whole enterprise.

The full register, from 13F filings

The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 2,257 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.

2,257 managers reported a position, together holding 117.5m shares, or 75.9% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of a share count taken later than this quarter, because the count in force at the snapshot is not published as a structured fact for this company. Where the count has moved since, the figures are off by that much.

Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
