The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 5,760 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
5,760 managers reported a position, together holding 16.10bn shares, or 66.2% of the company. The 40 largest are listed.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What the filings say against what the research found
Every holding above was also resolved directly from EDGAR through a precedence rule: the company's own filing outranks a 13D or 13G, which outranks a 13F, which outranks hand research. A 13F reports only US listed, long, US custodied positions, so it is a floor rather than a level. Where sources disagree the higher one leads and the lower is kept beside it.
No position here shows a material gap between sources.

What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Nvidia's 13F for the quarter ended 30 Jun 2026 was filed on 14 Aug 2026 (accession 0001045810-26-000065). It reports exactly 8 positions with a total value of $63,439,974,569. All eight are in the holdings list above, so the listed side of Nvidia's portfolio is complete as at that date.
- The two largest 13F positions are Intel at $29,989,261,126 and SpaceX at $20,975,594,582, both as of 30 Jun 2026. The frequently mis-attributed '$30bn' figure belongs to Intel, not SpaceX.
- The SpaceX position is carried at two different prices in this file for two different dates. The 13F carried it at $20,975,594,582 on 30 Jun 2026, an implied $170.86 per share. The value_usd field uses the brief's anchor price of $140.00 at the 14 Aug 2026 close, giving $17,187,072,700. That is a 18.1% mark-down over six weeks, not a change in share count.
- The 13F share count for SpaceX is 122,764,805, slightly more precise than the 122,760,000 in the brief's anchor table. The exact filed number is used here.
- Nvidia's largest equity exposure is not in the 13F at all. Its 10-Q for the quarter ended 26 Apr 2026 reports non-marketable equity securities, mostly stakes in privately-held companies, with a balance of $42,336 million, up from $22,251 million at the start of the quarter on $17,899 million of net additions and $2,603 million of unrealized gains in a single quarter. Cumulative gross unrealized gains on that book were $5.3 billion. The 10-Q names none of the underlying companies.
- The same 10-Q reports $30,237 million of marketable equity securities plus $8,864 million more in Other assets, of which $9,214 million is Level 2 and consists of warrants and preferred stock convertible into common stock of public companies. Warrants and convertible preferred are generally not 13(f) reportable, which is the most likely reason reported positions such as Corning and IREN do not appear in the 13F.
- Nvidia also holds $1.0 billion of infrastructure fund investments accounted for by the equity method, with maximum loss exposure including future committed amounts of $2.3 billion, and had total investment commitments of $27 billion as of 26 Apr 2026 expected to be funded through the remainder of fiscal 2027.
- The 10-Q states $27.4 billion of publicly-held equity securities were subject to short-term lock-up restrictions as of 26 Apr 2026, and that $8.9 billion is locked up through December 2027. Several of the 13F positions above are therefore not freely saleable.
- The BlackRock register entry is stale by design. Nvidia's own 2026 proxy footnotes it to a Schedule 13G/A filed 26 Jan 2024 reporting ownership as of 31 Dec 2023, adjusted for the June 2024 ten-for-one split. The 7.43% is the proxy's own calculation against the March 2026 share count, so the percentage and the share count come from dates two years apart. Vanguard's entry, by contrast, is as of 31 Mar 2026.
- Register percentages are the proxy's own figures, computed on 24,312,141,810 shares outstanding as of 23 Mar 2026. Recomputing each from the share counts reproduces the proxy to two decimal places.
- Nvidia has a single class of common stock, one vote per share, so there is no founder super-voting structure. Jensen Huang's 3.58% is economic and voting power alike. Most of it sits in family trusts: 528,531,547 shares in the Huang Living Trust, 109,040,602 in the Huang Irrevocable Remainder Trust, 58,683,830 in the Huang Foundation, and the balance in four TARG LLCs and the 2012 Irrevocable Trust.
- Three sources give three different share counts for Nvidia itself: the proxy says 24,312,141,810 as of 23 Mar 2026, the 10-Q XBRL cover tag says 24,200,000,000 as of 15 May 2026 (rounded in the filing), and stockanalysis.com shows 24.22 billion as of 14 Aug 2026. The proxy figure is used because it is exact and is the denominator behind every register percentage.
- Market cap of $5.45 trillion is the figure shown for the 14 Aug 2026 close at a share price of $225.16. Multiplying 24.22bn shares by $225.16 gives $5.453 trillion, consistent to within rounding.
- Every percentage in the holdings list was derived by this researcher by dividing the filed share count by a separately sourced share count for the target. None of them is a filed percentage, and the two counts are rarely measured on the same date.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Named private-company stakes. Nvidia's 10-Q for the quarter ended 26 Apr 2026 discloses the $42.3bn non-marketable equity book only in aggregate and names no investee. No Nvidia filing consulted here breaks it down. The 10-Q covering the quarter ended around 26 Jul 2026 had not been filed as of 16 Aug 2026, so the aggregate here is nearly four months stale relative to the 13F.
- Anthropic and Safe Superintelligence. Web search surfaced reports of an Nvidia commitment of up to $10 billion to Anthropic and $5 billion to Safe Superintelligence, attributed to a CNBC article of 9 May 2026, but cnbc.com returned HTTP 403 and the figures could not be confirmed on any page actually fetched. They are therefore excluded from the holdings list rather than recorded on a search snippet.
- OpenAI stake size. The $30 billion is a reported commitment, not a disclosed carrying value or share count. Nvidia's percentage of OpenAI, the share class, and how much of the $30bn has been funded are all unconfirmed.
- The other four of the reported seven multi-billion-dollar 2026 deals in publicly traded companies. Only Corning and IREN were named on a page that could be fetched.
- Generate Biomedicines' ticker and share count, so its percentage of target is null.
- State Street, Fidelity/FMR and other large institutional holders. Nvidia's proxy lists only holders above 5%, which is just BlackRock and Vanguard, and no third-party 13F aggregator was fetched in this task, so the register below 5% covers insiders only.
- Nokia's exact share count and ADR ratio. The 2.97% uses a rounded 5.60bn denominator from stockanalysis.com and an assumed 1:1 ADR to ordinary ratio; nokia.com returned HTTP 403.
- Voting power attached to the CoreWeave and Nebius stakes. Both targets have super-voting Class B shares held by others, so Nvidia's voting percentage is below its economic percentage in each, but the exact ratios were not retrieved.
