Address, industry classification, listing and incorporation come from ONEOK, Inc.'s own SEC filer record, so the industry is the SEC's dry classification rather than a marketing label. The website comes from Wikidata. The headcount is the figure the Wikipedia article states for 2025, not a figure this site has verified against a filing. The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 1,657 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
1,657 managers reported a position, together holding 499.9m shares, or 79.3% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 630.0m shares outstanding at 20 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Excluded from holdings as consolidated, controlled entities, not minority stakes ONEOK holds in someone else's company: EnLink Midstream, LLC (renamed Elk Merger Sub II, L.L.C.) and Medallion Parent Holdings, L.L.C., both wholly owned subsidiaries following the EnLink Acquisition (closed 3 Jan 2025) and Medallion Acquisition; and Delaware Basin JV, a wholly owned subsidiary since ONEOK acquired the remaining 49.9% noncontrolling interest in the Delaware Basin JV Acquisition (completed 28 May 2025). Also excluded: MBTC Pipeline LLC (80% owned) and ONEOK Wyoming Midstream, LLC ('OWM', 85% owned), both identified in the Q2 2026 10-Q Note F (Variable Interest Entities) as consolidated VIEs of which ONEOK is the primary beneficiary and managing member (along with a third consolidated VIE, Ascension, whose ownership percentage was not located); these are majority-owned, fully consolidated operating joint ventures with outside minority partners, not stakes ONEOK holds in another company, per the brief's exclusion of wholly owned/consolidated operating subsidiaries.
- Un-split combined balance not assigned to a named holding beyond what is captured above: the FY2025 10-K Note N investments table includes an 'Other Various' line of $346 million (2025) / $294 million (2024) covering unnamed smaller equity-method investments (this is also where Eiger Express Pipeline's carrying value is assumed to sit, since Eiger is defined with a stated ownership percentage but has no own line in the table). The Q2 2026 10-Q reports only one combined 'Investments in unconsolidated affiliates' balance of $3,139 million at 30 Jun 2026 (versus $2,889 million at 31 Dec 2025) with no per-investee breakdown at all for the current quarter, so every holding above uses the FY2025 10-K's individually-disclosed carrying values (dated 2025-12-31) rather than any apportionment of the Q2 2026 total, except Texas City Logistics and Powder Springs which either only exist in one filing or are only earnings-disclosed, as detailed in their own method_notes.
- Cross-check: the FY2025 10-K Note N investments table sums exactly to its reported $2,889 million total: BridgeTex $504 (60%) + Northern Border $444 (50%) + Overland Pass $391 (50%) + Saddlehorn $361 (40%) + Matterhorn $272 (15%) + MVP $228 (25%) + Roadrunner $181 (50%) + Texas City Logistics $162 (50%) + Other Various $346.
- Market capitalization ($59.65 billion), share price ($94.62) and shares outstanding (630.37 million) are stockanalysis.com's real-time figures as of 17 August 2026, 12:35pm EDT (intraday, not a prior close); the shares-outstanding figure matches the Q2 2026 10-Q cover page (630,369,667 shares as of 27 Jul 2026) to within rounding, confirming consistency between the two sources.
- The 2026 proxy's 'Holdings of Major Shareholders' table (5%+ owners) shows The Vanguard Group at 69,671,688 shares (11.96%) and BlackRock at 52,604,741 shares (9.00%) and State Street at 38,698,295 shares (6.64%), but these are sourced from Schedule 13G/A amendments filed Jan-Feb 2024 reporting December 2023 beneficial ownership, over two years stale relative to the Q2 2026 13F-HR data used in the register above; not used as register rows, kept here only as a reconciliation note. The 13F-based figures used in the register are materially higher for Vanguard and BlackRock and materially higher for State Street, consistent with continued accumulation and/or the improved completeness of the post-reorganization Vanguard successor-entity filings.
- Self-gate check: summing the ten non-member, non-aggregate register rows (Vanguard 72,016,837 + BlackRock 64,537,467 + State Street 43,633,749 + Capital Group 23,523,439 + Schwab 20,373,418 + Geode 17,439,867 + Morgan Stanley 11,886,409 + Northern Trust 6,187,568 + Bank of America 5,427,251 + JPMorgan 5,117,692) gives 270,143,697 shares against 630,369,667 shares outstanding, or 42.855%, within the expected 15 to 55 percent range. (The Pierce H. Norton II row is excluded from this sum because it rolls up into the 'All directors and executive officers as a group' aggregate row, which is itself excluded as an aggregate.)
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Ascension, the third consolidated VIE named alongside OWM and MBTC Pipeline in the Q2 2026 10-Q Note F (Variable Interest Entities); its ownership percentage was not located within the time budget, though as a consolidated, primary-beneficiary VIE it is excluded from holdings regardless.
- The individual FY2025 or Q2 2026 carrying value of Eiger Express Pipeline, LLC; not broken out from the FY2025 10-K's 'Other Various' $346 million combined line, and not present in the Q2 2026 10-Q at all (which gives only a single combined unconsolidated-affiliates balance). Looked in FY2025 10-K Note N and Q2 2026 10-Q Note H.
- The individual carrying value of Powder Springs Logistics, LLC; it does not appear anywhere in the FY2025 10-K (apparently formed or first reported in 2026) and the Q2 2026 10-Q gives only its equity-in-earnings line (a $26 million six-month loss, including an impairment) and the combined balance-sheet total, not a per-investee balance. Looked in FY2025 10-K Note N and Q2 2026 10-Q Note H.
- Whether Vanguard-affiliated 13F filers other than Vanguard Capital Management LLC and Vanguard Portfolio Management LLC (for example Vanguard Advisers Inc or Vanguard Fiduciary Trust Co) also hold OKE shares; not checked individually within the time budget, so the true Vanguard aggregate may be somewhat higher than 72,016,837 shares.
- Whether any Schedule 13D or fresh 13G (2025 or 2026) has been filed on OKE common stock beyond the stale Dec-2023-dated 13G/A figures cited in the 2026 proxy; not separately checked against the EDGAR full-text search system within the time budget. The register instead relies on Q2 2026 13F-HR filings and the 2026 proxy's officer/director beneficial-ownership table.
- Institutional holders ranked below JPMorgan on the project's Q1 2026 13F register (for example UBS, First Eagle, Invesco, Deutsche Bank, Tortoise Capital, Goldman Sachs, Dimensional Fund Advisors, Clearbridge, Legal & General, BNY Mellon) were not individually verified against their own Q2 2026 13F-HR filings, since ten institutional/family rows plus two proxy-sourced insider rows satisfy the brief's top 8 to 12 requirement.
