Vest Group is the holding company for Vest Financial LLC, an asset manager based in McLean, Virginia that builds options based, defined outcome investment strategies. Its Target Outcome Investments use exchange traded options on equity indices to give investors a set exposure profile, such as a buffer against a defined range of index losses or a capped participation in gains over a fixed period, and are packaged as mutual funds, exchange traded funds, unit investment trusts, collective investment trusts and separately managed accounts. The firm launched the first buffer mutual fund in 2016, was renamed from Cboe Vest to Vest Financial on 2 January 2024, and reported passing 50 billion dollars of combined assets under management and assets under supervision in July 2025.

Vest Group Inc. files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Vest: About Vest Financial, Businesswire: Vest Hits $50 Billion Milestone as Outcome Based Investing Goes Mainstream and PR Newswire: Cboe Makes Majority Investment In Vest Financial. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Cboe Global Markets, Inc., as of 30 Jun 2026. Other equity investment, no percentage ownership disclosed, unchanged at $2.9 million across 31 Dec 2024, 31 Dec 2025 and 30 Jun 2026. The Q2 2026 10-Q notes dividend income from 'the Company's minority ownership of Vest Group Inc.' The relationship, if any, between this minority stake and Cboe's own wholly-owned, consolidated options-based fund business (acquired from Vest Financial Group in 2022) is not stated in the filings reviewed; the two are not confirmed to be the same entity and are treated here only as what the 10-Q names. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Vest Group Inc. where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
