Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation is a Taiwanese pure play specialty foundry based in Hsinchu that manufactures integrated circuits to customer designs. Founded in December 1994 by Morris Chang, it began as a DRAM maker and exited memory production in February 2004 to focus on foundry services. It runs 200mm fabs in Taiwan and Singapore, the latter acquired from GlobalFoundries in 2019, and offers process technologies including high voltage and ultra high voltage, BCD, silicon on insulator, discrete, logic, mixed signal, analog, embedded memory and MEMS, with automotive, display driver and power management customers. Its shares have traded on Taiwan's over the counter market since March 1998 under code 5347. With NXP Semiconductors it formed VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, a 300mm wafer fab joint venture in Singapore.
