Transmission Infrastructure Partnerships Ltd (TIP) is a Canadian electric transmission developer based in Toronto that builds high voltage lines in joint venture with Indigenous communities. It is equally owned by Ameren Corporation, which brings utility scale transmission development capability, and Vires Partners Inc., a firm that structures infrastructure investment for Indigenous groups. The model gives each community partner a fully financed 50 percent equity stake at the outset, equal voting rights, authority over traditional land standards, non recourse financing so the community carries no repayment risk, and a route to full ownership once construction risk has passed. TIP works with more than 40 communities across Eastern and Northern Canada on a pipeline of 14 transmission line opportunities worth about 6.6 billion Canadian dollars, most at early development stage apart from the Crawford Mine transmission project, which has reached permitting and financing. One of its vehicles, Transmission Infrastructure Partnerships 9, is bidding with four First Nations for a 260 kilometre, 230 kilovolt line between the Wawa and Porcupine transformer stations in northeastern Ontario.
Source
Transmission Infrastructure Partnerships Ltd files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Transmission Infrastructure Partnerships Limited, company website, Dueling First Nations groups in northern Ontario want in on transmission line build (Windspeaker) and Ameren Corporation Exhibit 21.1, subsidiaries at 31 December 2025 (SEC EDGAR). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Ameren Corporation. Exhibit 21.1 lists 'ATX-TIP Holdings, Inc.' (Ontario, no percentage shown, i.e. wholly owned by Ameren) immediately followed by 'Transmission Infrastructure Partnerships Ltd (50% interest)' (Ontario), indented as ATX-TIP's holding. This is a percentage interest, not a share count, so shares stays null. Searched the FY2025 10-K and the Q2 2026 10-Q body text for 'Transmission Infrastructure Partnerships' and 'ATX-TIP': zero hits outside the exhibit, so no dollar value or business description is disclosed anywhere else in the filings. It is not clear whether this entity is included in Ameren's combined 'unconsolidated variable interests in various equity method investments, primarily to advance innovative energy technologies' balance ($82 million at 30 Jun 2026, $64 million at 31 Dec 2025); that balance names no constituent entities, so it is not assigned to this or any other holding (see notes). sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Transmission Infrastructure Partnerships Ltd where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
