SAIC GM Dong Yue Motors builds passenger cars at Yantai in Shandong province, China, on a site with two vehicle assembly plants known as North and South. The factory opened in 2001 as Yantai Bodyshop Corp., assembling Daewoo models under licence, and was taken over on 20 December 2002 by SAIC Motor, GM China and the Shanghai SAIC-GM venture, which reorganised it into the Dong Yue vehicle company. It has since produced Buick and Chevrolet models for the Chinese market, including the Buick Envision crossover, which was also shipped to the United States for Buick dealers there from 2016, making it one of the few Chinese built vehicles sold under an American brand in its home market. Output has been cut back as the partners restructure their Chinese manufacturing footprint in response to overcapacity and the shift to domestic electric brands.
Source
SAIC GM Dong Yue Motors Co., Ltd. (SGM DY) files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from SAIC-GM (Wikipedia), SAIC Motor corporate history (SAIC Motor) and General Motors Company Form 10-K for 2025 (SEC EDGAR). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.

What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of SAIC GM Dong Yue Motors Co., Ltd. (SGM DY) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
