Promotora de Partes Electricas Automotrices, S.A. de C.V., known as Promotora, is a Mexican holding company whose corporate purpose is to hold shares in a group of automotive component makers. Its subsidiaries have included Arneses Electricos Automotrices, Microm, Tanques Industriales y de Proceso, Macopel, Arcomex, Autoensambles y Logistica and Cordaflex, and they are principally engaged in producing wiring harnesses and electrical cable for the car industry together with connectors, electrical terminals, moulds and tooling. It is a joint venture between the Mexican cable and autoparts group Grupo Condumex, part of Grupo Carso, which contributes the domestic harness manufacturing plants and workforce concentrated in northern Mexico, and the Packard electrical business of Delphi, now Aptiv, which contributes the connector and electrical architecture technology and the global carmaker customer base. Academic work on the Mexican harness industry describes it as Delphi's largest joint investment in the country.
