PolyMirae Co., Ltd. is a South Korean polypropylene producer, headquartered in Seoul, that was founded in 2000 when DL Chemical (formerly the petrochemical arm of Daelim) and LyondellBasell pooled their polypropylene businesses. It runs four Spheripol process lines across three plants at Yeosu on the south coast, with combined capacity of about 730,000 tonnes a year, and holds a further manufacturing joint venture with SK Advanced at Ulsan that added a 400,000 tonne a year plant commissioned in the early 2020s. Its resins go into automotive parts and compounds, meltblown fabric, textiles, flexible and rigid packaging, pipe and consumer goods, sold in Korea and exported across Asia. The Korean partner supplies the operating base and local market position while LyondellBasell contributes the polyolefin process technology and international sales network, and product development runs from a technical centre at Daejeon.
Source
PolyMirae Co., Ltd. files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from PolyMirae company overview and CEO message (PolyMirae), PolyMirae production facilities (PolyMirae) and PolyMirae to expand its polypropylene capacity by 400,000 tons a year in South Korea (PR Newswire). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- LyondellBasell Industries N.V.. Exhibit 21.1 to the FY2025 10-K (filed 20 Feb 2026) states that Basell International Holdings B.V. owns a 50% interest in PolyMirae Co., Ltd.. This is a 50 percent ownership interest, written here as the number 50, not as a fraction of 100. Cross-checked against Note 10 (Equity Investments) of the same 10-K, which lists 'PolyMirae Co. Ltd.' at 50.00% ownership as of both 31 Dec 2025 and 31 Dec 2024, confirming the figure independently within the same filing. LyondellBasell's balance sheet carries a single combined 'Equity investments' line ($3,963 million at 31 Dec 2025 per the 10-K; $3,875 million at 30 Jun 2026 per the most recent 10-Q) covering all equity-method investees together, so no individual carrying value is disclosed for this venture: value_usd is null. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of PolyMirae Co., Ltd. where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
