Who owns PO JV, LP
One company in the researched set discloses a stake in PO JV, LP, none of it sized by anyone who discloses it. PO JV, LP is private, so no 13F reports it: a 13F covers exchange listed positions only. These figures exist because each holder disclosed the stake in its own filings.
PO JV, LP - Profile
- Type
- joint venture
- Based in
- United States
PO JV, LP is the United States partnership through which LyondellBasell and Covestro run their jointly held propylene oxide business in Texas. The venture owns a propylene oxide and styrene monomer plant and a propylene oxide and tertiary butyl alcohol plant, with LyondellBasell operating the manufacturing facilities and arranging the logistics of product delivery. It does not manufacture for outside customers: each partner funds its share of capital spending, reimburses its share of manufacturing operating expenses and takes its share of output in kind, so the propylene oxide, styrene and fuel co-products flow to the partners rather than being sold by the partnership. A companion propylene oxide and styrene monomer venture the two companies ran at Maasvlakte in the Netherlands was permanently closed in 2025, leaving the Texas assets as the surviving joint operation.
Source
PO JV, LP files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from LyondellBasell 2025 Form 10-K, Investments in PO Joint Ventures, LyondellBasell 2025 Form 10-K Exhibit 21, subsidiaries and equity interests and Covestro press release on the permanent closure of the PO11 unit at Maasvlakte. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- LyondellBasell Industries N.V.. Exhibit 21.1 to the FY2025 10-K (filed 20 Feb 2026) states that PO Offtake, LP owns a 50% interest in PO JV, LP. This is a 50 percent ownership interest, written here as the number 50, not as a fraction of 100. Note 10 (Equity Investments) separately reports a combined 'U.S. PO Joint Venture' at 60.62% ownership, which does not match this single legal entity's 50% figure. This entity is one of at least two US propylene-oxide-related legal entities in Exhibit 21 (PO JV, LP and Technology JV, LP, both at an effective 50% LyondellBasell interest) that may roll up into the Note 10 'U.S. PO Joint Venture' economic interest; the 10-K does not disclose how the 60.62% figure is derived from the underlying entities, so the relationship is noted but not fully reconciled. LyondellBasell's balance sheet carries a single combined 'Equity investments' line ($3,963 million at 31 Dec 2025 per the 10-K; $3,875 million at 30 Jun 2026 per the most recent 10-Q) covering all equity-method investees together, so no individual carrying value is disclosed for this venture: value_usd is null. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of PO JV, LP where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
