Who owns Ocean Aero, Inc.
One company in the researched set discloses a stake in Ocean Aero, Inc., none of it sized by anyone who discloses it. Ocean Aero, Inc. is private, so no 13F reports it: a 13F covers exchange listed positions only. These figures exist because each holder disclosed the stake in its own filings.

- Founded
- 2010
Ocean Aero designs, builds and operates the Triton, an autonomous underwater and surface vehicle that sails on the ocean surface under a rigid wing sail while recharging from solar panels, then submerges and runs on an electric thruster when it needs to hide or work below the waterline. The 14 foot craft carries about 35 kWh of batteries, can be launched and recovered by two people, and is marketed as payload agnostic, taking communications, obstacle avoidance, sensing, subsea inspection and mapping and environmental monitoring packages for defence, oceanographic research and offshore energy customers. The company was founded in San Diego in 2010 and moved to the Port of Gulfport in Mississippi around 2021, opening a headquarters and manufacturing plant there in October 2023 that had built 46 vehicles by that point and was sized for far larger volumes.
Source
Ocean Aero, Inc. files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from About (Ocean Aero), The Triton (Ocean Aero) and Ocean Aero showcases TRITON Underwater and Surface Vehicle at grand opening (WLOX). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, as of 2 Jul 2015. Ocean Aero, Inc. (Delaware) appears in Exhibit 21 of every Teledyne 10-K checked, including the FY2025 10-K filed 20 Feb 2026, tagged '(minority interest)' with no percentage column in the current exhibit format. The only percentage Teledyne has ever disclosed is from its own 2 Jul 2015 press release ('Teledyne Increases Ownership Stake in Ocean Aero'), which states Teledyne 'increased its ownership interest in Ocean Aero, Inc. to approximately 37 percent' and that terms of the transaction were not disclosed. That figure is now more than 11 years stale; Teledyne's SEC full text search shows no later filing updates it. A 2014 Exhibit 21 (8-K exhibit 99.1, filed 23 Sep 2014) names the stockholder of record as Teledyne RD Instruments, Inc. and describes the interest only as 'minority interest', not a percentage, consistent with the 2026 exhibit. No 10-K, 10-Q or 8-K body text discusses Ocean Aero by name outside Exhibit 21, and no noncontrolling-interest dollar balance in the FY2025 10-K or Q2 2026 10-Q is attributable to it (the only redeemable NCI balance disclosed relates to NL Acoustics, which Teledyne bought out in full for $27.2 million in Q3 2025, extinguishing that NCI). Treated as a genuine, ongoing minority equity stake in a private company per the brief, sized only by a stale but real disclosed figure. sourcesource 2source 3
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Ocean Aero, Inc. where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
