Natpet Schulman Specialty Plastic Compounds, known as NSSPC, is a 50:50 compounding venture in Yanbu Industrial City, Saudi Arabia, set up between the National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) and A. Schulman, whose share passed to LyondellBasell when it bought A. Schulman's global compounding business in 2018. The plant turns polypropylene resin into engineered and flame retardant compounds sold under the Polyfort and Polyflam names, with an installed capacity of about 100,000 tonnes a year, and takes its feedstock directly from NATPET's adjacent polypropylene unit. It was announced in 2012, formed in 2013 and started commercial production in 2017, selling into durable goods, automotive and electrical applications across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia.
Source
Natpet Schulman Specialty Plastic Compounds files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from A. Schulman announces joint venture with NATPET to produce polypropylene compounds in Saudi Arabia (PR Newswire), NATPET and A. Schulman in partnership for PP compounding plant in Saudi Arabia (Plastemart) and NATPET to showcase advances in several polypropylene resin grades at K 2019. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- LyondellBasell Industries N.V.. Exhibit 21.1 to the FY2025 10-K (filed 20 Feb 2026) states that A. Schulman Europe International B.V. owns a 50% interest in Natpet Schulman Specialty Plastic Compounds. This is a 50 percent ownership interest, written here as the number 50, not as a fraction of 100. LyondellBasell's balance sheet carries a single combined 'Equity investments' line ($3,963 million at 31 Dec 2025 per the 10-K; $3,875 million at 30 Jun 2026 per the most recent 10-Q) covering all equity-method investees together, so no individual carrying value is disclosed for this venture: value_usd is null. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Natpet Schulman Specialty Plastic Compounds where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
