National Petrochemical Industrial Company, trading as NATPET, makes polypropylene at an integrated complex in Yanbu Industrial City on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. The site pairs a propane dehydrogenation unit, which converts propane into propylene and so supplies its own feedstock, with a polypropylene plant of about 400,000 tonnes a year built on LyondellBasell's licensed Spheripol process. Production began in 2009. The resins are sold under the Teldene brand and cover homopolymers, random copolymers and heterophasic copolymers used in packaging, fibres, moulded goods and other converting markets, and they are exported to customers across the Middle East and beyond. The company is majority held by the Saudi industrial group Alujain Corporation, and a second propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene line at the same site has been under study.
Source
National Petrochemical Industrial Company files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from LYB enters into agreement to acquire 35% of Saudi Arabia-based NATPET (LyondellBasell), National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) member profile, Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association and NATPET company store and product range (Knowde). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- LyondellBasell Industries N.V.. Exhibit 21.1 to the FY2025 10-K (filed 20 Feb 2026) states that Basell International Holdings B.V. owns a 35% interest in National Petrochemical Industrial Company. This is a 35 percent ownership interest, written here as the number 35, not as a fraction of 100. Cross-checked against Note 10 (Equity Investments) of the same 10-K, which lists 'National Petrochemical Industrial Company' at 35.00% ownership as of both 31 Dec 2025 and 31 Dec 2024, confirming the figure independently within the same filing. LyondellBasell's balance sheet carries a single combined 'Equity investments' line ($3,963 million at 31 Dec 2025 per the 10-K; $3,875 million at 30 Jun 2026 per the most recent 10-Q) covering all equity-method investees together, so no individual carrying value is disclosed for this venture: value_usd is null. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of National Petrochemical Industrial Company where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
