Nally & Gibson Georgetown, LLC quarries and sells crushed limestone in central Kentucky, and also supplies asphalt and construction services. It works an underground mine of roughly 188 acres at Georgetown in Scott County, set between Interstate 75 and Elkhorn Creek, taking stone from the Tyrone and Camp Nelson formations 300 to 400 feet below the surface. The output is graded into aggregate for concrete, road base, pipe bedding and channel lining, along with agricultural limestone and sand, and is sold to highway and building contractors across the Bluegrass region. It is a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet approved producer and has operated the quarry for more than sixty years.
