MAXIEYE is a Chinese developer of advanced driver assistance and automated driving systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Founded in 2016 and operating principally out of Shanghai, it builds camera based perception software and the sensing plus control stack behind its MAXIPILOT intelligent driving products, which run from basic L0 warning functions through L2 highway and urban assistance. Its earlier IFVS series supplied forward facing vision modules to vehicle manufacturers, and it works with silicon vendors such as Ambarella on production ADAS perception. The company sells to Chinese automakers as a tier one supplier of full stack driving assistance rather than as a vehicle or component brand of its own.
Source
MAXIEYE Automotive Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from MAXIEYE company website, About Us, MAXIEYE and Ambarella production ADAS vision perception and MAXIEYE completes about RMB 570 million round led by Aptiv. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Aptiv PLC, as of 30 Jun 2026. Chinese ADAS/autonomous-driving software provider. In September 2024 Aptiv's Intelligent Systems segment invested approximately 399 million RMB (~$57 million at the investment-date FX rate) in Maxieye preferred equity; because Aptiv holds redemption rights, the investment is classified as an available-for-sale debt security within other long-term assets rather than as an equity-method or common-equity investment, so no ownership percentage is disclosed and pct_of_target is left null rather than guessed. The Q2 2026 10-Q's itemized 'technology investments' table gives the carrying value directly: $59 million at 30 Jun 2026 (vs. $57 million at 31 Dec 2025). Aptiv has also agreed to invest an additional 171 million RMB (~$25 million) contingent on unmet technical milestones as of 30 Jun 2026, not yet funded. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of MAXIEYE Automotive Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
