IONITY is a Munich based operator of high power charging stations for electric cars, built as a joint venture of the BMW Group, Mercedes-Benz, the Volkswagen Group including Audi and Porsche, Ford and the Hyundai Motor Group, with Global Infrastructure Partners, part of BlackRock, joining in 2021 as a financial investor. Founded in 2017, it places charging parks along motorways and at urban hubs in 24 European countries, all using the European Combined Charging System connector so that any compatible vehicle can use them, supplied with renewable electricity, and sold to drivers directly at the charger, through the IONITY app and passport subscription, through carmaker charging services and through fleet contracts. As of October 2024 the network covered 684 stations and 4,359 charging points, with a target of 1,000 stations and 9,000 points by 2027, and it has begun installing Alpitronic megawatt cabinets that raise peak charging power to 600 kilowatts. The company also keeps offices in Dortmund, Paris and near Oslo.
Source
Ionity Holding GmbH & Co. KG files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from About IONITY (IONITY), IONITY (Wikipedia) and IONITY Announces 700m Investment from its Shareholders and New Partner BlackRock (BNP Paribas CIB). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Ford Motor Company, as of 31 Dec 2025. FY2025 10-K Note 14 table: 'Ionity Holding GmbH & Co. KG 114 117 15' (carrying value in millions at 31 Dec 2024 and 31 Dec 2025, ownership at 2025). Private European EV fast-charging network consortium jointly owned by several automakers. Not individually re-confirmed as active in the Q2 2026 10-Q narrative, which lists only Ford's most significant unconsolidated affiliates by segment. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Ionity Holding GmbH & Co. KG where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
