Hewlett-Packard Company Archives LLC is a Delaware limited liability company that holds the corporate historical archive of the original Hewlett-Packard Company, the material documenting the business Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard started in a Palo Alto garage at 367 Addison Avenue in 1939. The collection covers papers, speeches and correspondence of the founders, oral history interviews, photographs, technical drawings, advertising, runs of the Hewlett-Packard Journal and physical product artifacts from audio oscillators to calculators, printers and computers. Because the archive predates the 2015 separation of the old company, it sits in a jointly held vehicle rather than inside any one operating business. Part of the collection is published through a digital archive, the Hewlett Packard History virtual vault, run by the archive services firm Heritage Werks, and a portion of the physical papers stored in Santa Rosa, California was destroyed in the North Bay wildfires of October 2017.
Source
Hewlett-Packard Company Archives LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from HP Inc. Form 10-K Exhibit 21, list of subsidiaries, FY2025 (SEC), Collections, HP Company Archives virtual vault and Hewlett-Packard historical archives destroyed in wine country fires (Palo Alto Online, 30 October 2017). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- HP Inc.. Exhibit 21 lists 'Hewlett-Packard Company Archives LLC (50% owned), Delaware, United States'. No carrying value, revenue, or purpose is disclosed anywhere in the 10-K body text; the name suggests a joint corporate-history/archival entity, plausibly shared with Hewlett Packard Enterprise given the 2015 separation, but that link is not stated anywhere in either company's filings and is not asserted here. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Hewlett-Packard Company Archives LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
