Who owns Generation Life
One company in the researched set discloses a stake in Generation Life, none of it sized by anyone who discloses it. Generation Life is private, so no 13F reports it: a 13F covers exchange listed positions only. These figures exist because each holder disclosed the stake in its own filings.

Generation Life Limited is an Australian life company based in Melbourne and the retirement income arm of the listed Generation Development Group. It issues tax effective investment bonds under the LifeBuilder, ChildBuilder and FuneralBond names, the IncomeSeries tax effective equity income fund, and LifeIncome, an investment linked lifetime annuity with optional income boosting features, products sold through financial advisers as complements or alternatives to superannuation. It holds an Australian Financial Services Licence and manages longevity and sequencing risk for retirees rather than simply paying a fixed annuity. In May 2025 it formed a long term alliance with BlackRock to design new Australian retirement income products, with joint working groups running across the two firms, and in 2025 it was selected by Colonial First State to place its retirement and investment bond products on the CFS FirstChoice and CFS Edge platforms.
Source
Generation Life files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Generation Life and BlackRock Form Strategic Alliance to Lead Innovation in Australia's Retirement Income Sector, Generation Life home page and Colonial First State to introduce its largest ever expansion of retirement solutions with Challenger, Generation Life and BlackRock. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- BlackRock, Inc.. Named in the FY2025 10-K's list of minority investments (data and whole-portfolio capabilities). No independent public ticker or IPO found for this Australian investment-bond provider as of this research (17 Aug 2026), consistent with private status, but that inference is not itself a filed fact. No share count, percentage or carrying value disclosed. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Generation Life where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
