Dominican Republic Renewables is the renewable generation business of AES in the Dominican Republic, held through AES Dominicana Renewable Energy, S.A. It develops, builds and operates solar and wind farms and battery energy storage systems that sell power to Dominican offtakers under long term power purchase agreements. The platform grew from about 150 megawatts alternating current of operating solar and wind capacity to a target of 390 megawatts through three new projects financed in November 2023 with a 368 million dollar package arranged by IDB Invest, in a country where roughly 71 percent of generation in 2022 still came from fossil fuels. TotalEnergies bought half the business in a deal completed in July 2025, giving the two partners more than a gigawatt of contracted wind, solar and storage capacity in the country, of which about 410 megawatts was operating or under construction and a further 500 megawatts or so in development. AES continues to operate the assets, and its remaining interest is accounted for as an equity method investment.
Source
Dominican Republic Renewables files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from IDB Invest Mobilizes the Largest Renewable Energy Financing in the Caribbean for AES, Caribbean: TotalEnergies Expands its Partnership with AES from LNG to Renewable Energy (TotalEnergies press release, 2 July 2025) and The AES Corporation Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2025 (SEC). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.

What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Dominican Republic Renewables where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
