Dolphin Energy is an Abu Dhabi based gas company that runs the Dolphin Gas Project, the first cross border energy project in the Gulf. Established in March 1999 by the government of Abu Dhabi, it produces raw gas from Qatar's offshore North Field, processes and compresses it at a plant in Ras Laffan Industrial City in northern Qatar, and exports about 2 billion standard cubic feet a day through a subsea pipeline running roughly 364 kilometres to receiving facilities at Taweelah in Abu Dhabi, from where it is distributed onward across the United Arab Emirates and into Oman. The gas fuels power generation, water desalination and industry, and the company reckons it supplies close to 30 percent of the UAE's energy needs. Processing at Ras Laffan also yields condensate and liquefied petroleum gas. Its shareholders are Mubadala, which holds the majority, alongside TotalEnergies and Occidental Petroleum, and it maintains offices in Abu Dhabi and Doha. Commercial deliveries began in July 2007.

Dolphin Energy Limited files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Dolphin Energy (Mubadala), Dolphin Energy (Wikipedia) and Dolphin Qatar-UAE Natural Gas Pipeline (Global Energy Monitor). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Occidental Petroleum Corporation, as of 31 Dec 2025. Occidental's FY2025 Form 10-K states a 24.5% ownership interest in DEL, which operates the 230-mile Dolphin Pipeline transporting natural gas from Qatar to the UAE and Oman. The 10-K explicitly separates this from the main unconsolidated-investments asset table: 'Not presented in investments in unconsolidated entities is the Company's 24.5% ownership in DEL, which had a carrying value of $220 million and is presented in deferred credits and other liabilities - other.' This means cumulative distributions/losses have pushed the equity-method balance negative, i.e. it is carried as a $220 million LIABILITY, not an asset. value_usd is recorded here as -220000000 to reflect that sign; DEL is privately held (a Qatar/UAE/Oman consortium), so no market price exists to cross-check against. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Dolphin Energy Limited where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
