The American Financial Exchange (AFX) is a self regulated electronic exchange, launched in Chicago in 2015, on which American banks and financial institutions lend and borrow overnight unsecured funds directly from one another. Its membership is weighted towards regional, midsize, community and minority owned banks, and the transactions executed on the platform are used to calculate AMERIBOR, a credit sensitive interbank interest rate benchmark published daily and used to set floating rate loans and to hedge interest rate risk. AFX was sold to the growth equity firm 7RIDGE in April 2023, and the exchange and the AMERIBOR benchmark are now operated by Intercontinental Exchange within its fixed income and data services business.
Source
American Financial Exchange, LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from American Financial Exchange Acquired by 7RIDGE (PR Newswire), ICE: American Financial Exchange (AFX) and Cboe Futures Exchange and American Financial Exchange Announce Planned Launch of AMERIBOR Futures (PR Newswire). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Cboe Global Markets, Inc.. Confirmed as a current minority investment by the Q2 2026 10-Q, which names 'the Company's minority investments in Abaxx Singapore Pte, American Financial Exchange, LLC, and Eris Innovations Holdings, LLC' as contributors to earnings (loss) on investments. It is not one of the individually named lines in the investments table; it sits inside the combined 'Other equity investments' residual bucket ($1.6 million at 30 Jun 2026, $2.9 million at 31 Dec 2025 and 31 Dec 2024 alongside other unnamed small positions), which does not size any one investee within it. value_usd is therefore null by design rather than assigned a share of the combined balance. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of American Financial Exchange, LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
