Who owns Altium Packaging LLC
One company in the researched set discloses a stake in Altium Packaging LLC, none of it sized by anyone who discloses it. Altium Packaging manufactures rigid plastic containers and closures in North America, running more than 65 plants across the United States and Canada with close to 4,000 employees from a base in Atlanta, Georgia. It specialises in customised mid and short run bottles, jars and caps for dairy, water, beverage and juice, food and nutraceuticals, household and specialty chemicals, automotive, personal care and pharmaceutical customers, and produces several billion containers a year. An Altium Healthcare division supplies vials, closures and labelling services, and its Envision Plastics business operates two plants that recycle post consumer HDPE into food grade resin. The company traces its container manufacturing roots back about a century and traded as Consolidated Container Company before rebranding as Altium Packaging in January 2020, with its Canadian arm and its Tri State Distribution pharmaceutical packaging business renamed at the same time.
Source
Altium Packaging LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Loews Corporation: Altium Packaging subsidiary page, Altium Packaging company website and Consolidated Container Company Announces Rebrand to Altium Packaging, Tri State Distribution Rebranded to Altium Healthcare (Loews Corporation, January 2020). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Loews Corporation. Altium Packaging LLC (rigid plastic packaging manufacturer) is a private, unconsolidated equity-method investee, not a subsidiary: Loews shares certain participating rights over capital allocation and other decisions with its (unnamed) joint-venture partner, which is why a ~53% interest is accounted for under the equity method rather than consolidated. No share count exists (it is an LLC membership interest, not shares), and no separate summarized balance sheet or income statement for Altium is disclosed anywhere in the FY2025 10-K or Q2 2026 10-Q reviewed here (unlike Gentiva Hospice in the comparable Humana file). Loews' FY2025 10-K discloses only a COMBINED balance: 'The Company's total investment in entities accounted for under the equity method of accounting, excluding limited partnership investments, was $878 million and $937 million as of December 31, 2025 and 2024 and is reported in Other assets'. Critically, the same 10-K's accounting-policy note states that this same equity-method category also includes Loews Hotels & Co's interests in hotel-property joint ventures ('Loews Hotels & Co has interests in operating joint ventures related to hotel properties over which it exercises significant influence but does not have control over them ... uses the [equity method]'). Because the $878m/$937m balance covers AT LEAST two different equity-method investees (Altium Packaging and an unspecified number of Loews Hotels & Co hotel joint ventures) with no split disclosed, per the brief's explicit rule against assigning a combined balance to one investee, no value is assigned to Altium here; value_usd is left null and the combined balance is recorded in unknowns instead of being modelled, since (unlike Humana/Gentiva) no independent balance sheet for Altium itself is available to model from. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Altium Packaging LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
