No position on this side carries a sourced value, so there is nothing to chart. The table still lists 8 of them.
Select a row or a slice for its provenance: the filing it came from, when it was measured, and the arithmetic behind it if it was modelled.
The full register, from 13F filings
The Register tab above is hand research: a dozen holders, each traced to the filing it came from. This asks the same question of the whole market for the quarter ended 31-mar-2026, where 898 managers reported a position. Broad where the research is deep, and shallow in the ways a 13F always is.
898 managers reported a position, together holding 104.9m shares, or 88.8% of the company. The 40 largest are listed. Percentages are of the 118.1m shares outstanding at 24 Apr 2026, the count in force when this quarter was measured rather than the count today.
Built from 13F filings, which report US listed, long, US custodied positions only. A register from this source is a floor rather than a level: a holder's true position can be far larger, as BlackRock's ASML stake shows at 1.28m shares in a 13F against 26.3m in its 13G/A. Holdings held through derivatives, outside US custody, or below a manager's reporting obligation do not appear. Where a holder is marked as a family, its total sums several separate filing entities and describes something no single filing describes; the constituent entities and their share counts are listed so the total can be checked. That roll-up can legitimately exceed the family's own Schedule 13G, because a 13G is filed by one legal entity: Vanguard reports Alphabet through ten advisory entities, and The Vanguard Group Inc itself reported zero after its January 2026 disaggregation.
What a reader needs to know to read these numbers
- Jacobs fully divested its Amentum Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AMTM) stake via an in-kind dividend distribution to Jacobs shareholders completed 30 May 2025. The FY2026 Q3 10-Q (period ended 26 Jun 2026) states explicitly: 'Following the distribution, the Company no longer owns any shares of Amentum common stock.' No holdings row is recorded for Amentum, because null in this database means 'not sized', which would misrepresent a completed exit as a current, merely unsized position.
- Jacobs held approximately 65.00 percent of PA Consulting Group Limited as of the FY2025 10-K (Exhibit 21, period ended 26 Sep 2025), reflecting the original 2 March 2021 strategic investment. On 20 Mar 2026 Jacobs completed the 'PA Consulting Transaction', acquiring all remaining PA Consulting shares from other shareholders (excluding shares already held by Jacobs and affiliates) for an aggregate initial consideration of approximately GBP 1.21 billion (about GBP 997.6 million cash plus 2,043,537 newly issued Jacobs common shares). The FY2026 Q3 10-Q states 'As a result of the PA Consulting Transaction, the Company no longer carries Redeemable Noncontrolling Interests on the Jacobs Consolidated Financial Statements' (corroborated on the balance sheet: Redeemable Noncontrolling Interests fell from $1,018,694 thousand at 26 Sep 2025 to $0 at 26 Jun 2026). PA Consulting is therefore now a wholly owned, fully consolidated subsidiary and is excluded as a holding per the brief's rule excluding wholly owned operating subsidiaries; no row is recorded.
- Jacobs runs many minority-owned but CONSOLIDATED project joint ventures (controlled via majority voting or VIE status, accounted for as subsidiaries, not equity method). Eight are listed at partial ownership in Exhibit 21 of the FY2025 10-K (period 26 Sep 2025) and are recorded as holdings rows above: Jacobs (Thailand) Co., Ltd. 49.00%, BEAR Scotland Limited 25.00%, Ringway Jacobs Limited 50.00%, Defence Contractor Management and Operations Limited 24.50%, CH2M HILL (India) Private Limited 90.00%, Halcrow Consulting India Pvt Limited 62.94%, CH2M HILL Arabia Co. Ltd. 90.00%, CH2M Saudi Limited 75.00%. None has an individually disclosed carrying value: the combined 'Noncontrolling interests' equity line covering all of these entities together was $(13.841) million at 26 Jun 2026 and $7.098 million at 26 Sep 2025 (FY2026 Q3 10-Q balance sheet), so value_usd is null on every one of these rows per the combined-balance rule. Three near-fully-owned Exhibit 21 entities were treated as effectively wholly owned and excluded as rows: Jacobs Engineering and Construction (Thailand) Limited 99.98%, PT Jacobs Group Indonesia 99.50%, CH2M Polska Services sp. z o.o. 99.00%.
- Separately from the Exhibit 21 consolidated JVs, Jacobs discloses a combined carrying value of $40.6 million (26 Jun 2026; $36.3 million at 26 Sep 2025) for 'investments in equity method joint ventures' (unconsolidated JVs, reported within Other Noncurrent Assets: Miscellaneous, FY2026 Q3 10-Q Note 11). This is a single aggregated balance covering an unspecified number of unconsolidated project JVs and is not broken out by counterparty anywhere in the 10-Q or the FY2025 10-K searched, so none of these unconsolidated JVs could be sized individually and none is recorded as a row (combined-balance rule).
- Fiscal year ends late September. The document genuinely newest by date is the FY2026 Q3 10-Q (period ended 26 Jun 2026, filed 4 Aug 2026), which postdates the FY2025 10-K (period ended 26 Sep 2025, filed 20 Nov 2025) by over 9 months; it was used as the primary source for the current Amentum and PA Consulting status. The FY2025 10-K's Exhibit 21 (not repeated in any 10-Q) remained the only available source for the JV ownership percentages.
- Register self-gate, computed from this final file exactly as the chart computes it: 12 rows, no rolls_up_into/is_aggregate relationships (the officers-and-directors row stands alone, with no individual director/officer rows listed, so there is no double-count to reduce). Raw share total = 54,409,586. shares_outstanding = 117,038,611 (10-Q cover page, 24 Jul 2026). 54,409,586 / 117,038,611 = 46.49%. This is a few points above the 25-45% band the research process usually lands in but below the 55% ceiling that would indicate a mixed-basis or double-counted holder; institutional concentration in Jacobs's top holders plausibly accounts for it.
- Capital Group was checked across all three registrant entities used elsewhere in this project (Capital World Investors CIK 0001422849, Capital International Investors CIK 0001562230, Capital Research Global Investors CIK 0001422848), each read from its own Q2 2026 13F-HR information table; none holds any Jacobs shares. No row is recorded: a holder checked and found at zero is a note, not a null row.
- FMR LLC (Fidelity), CIK 0000315066, is absent from this project's data/registers/J.json snapshot. Checked directly: its own Q2 2026 13F-HR shows only 148,865 Jacobs shares (about 0.13% of the company), below the smallest included register row (T. Rowe Price Associates, 167,112 shares), so it is not included as a register row.
- Jacobs received approximately 58.2 million ordinary shares of Worley Limited (ASX: WOR, Australia) as part of the consideration for selling its Energy, Chemicals and Resources (ECR) business to Worley in April 2019. Both the FY2025 10-K and the FY2026 Q3 10-Q describe this only as 2019 transaction history within the Discontinued Operations note; neither states a current Worley share count, and no marketable-securities or equity-investment balance-sheet line referencing Worley was found in either filing, consistent with the stake having been monetized well before FY2025. Not recorded as a holding; see unknowns.
Looked for, not found
Recorded rather than filled in. Each of these is a place where a number could have been invented and was not.
- Whether Jacobs retains any residual stake in Worley Limited (ASX: WOR) from the 2019 ECR sale: searched the FY2025 10-K and FY2026 Q3 10-Q for 'Worley', 'marketable securities', and 'short-term investments'; found only the original 2019 transaction description and no current balance or explicit disposal statement.
- The identity of the minority partner in each of the eight Exhibit 21 project joint ventures recorded as holdings above (Jacobs (Thailand), BEAR Scotland, Ringway Jacobs, Defence Contractor Management and Operations, CH2M HILL India, Halcrow Consulting India, CH2M HILL Arabia, CH2M Saudi): not named in Exhibit 21 itself, and not found via targeted search of the FY2025 10-K or FY2026 Q3 10-Q text.
- Which specific investee(s) make up the $40.6 million combined 'investments in equity method joint ventures' balance (FY2026 Q3 10-Q, Note 11), and how that balance splits between them: not disclosed in the 10-Q.
- What security or company the $6.2 million in mark-to-market gains on 'investments in equity securities carried at fair value' (three and nine months ended 26 Jun 2026, non-GAAP reconciliation footnote) relates to: not named anywhere else in the filing, and no corresponding balance-sheet line was found.
