Xumo Services, LLC is a Delaware registered streaming venture created by Comcast and Charter Communications in 2022 to build a shared next generation streaming platform for the cable and entertainment industry. Comcast licensed its Flex 4K streaming device and its global entertainment technology platform into the venture, which relaunched them as the Xumo Stream Box and Xumo TV, while both partners distribute the hardware to their own video subscribers: Charter to Spectrum households and Comcast to Xfinity homes. The company runs three lines of business: Xumo devices, which pair a live television experience with hundreds of streaming applications, unified search and voice control; Xumo Play, a free advertising supported streaming service carrying hundreds of linear channels and on demand titles; and Xumo Enterprise, a business to business arm that distributes and monetises free ad supported channels for content owners and advertisers. Nationwide rollout of the Stream Box began in October 2023. Xumo is run from Philadelphia and the Xumo brand itself dates back to 2011.

Xumo Services, LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Charter Communications, Inc. Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2025 (sec.gov), Comcast and Charter Announce Xumo as the Brand Name for Their Streaming Platform Joint Venture (Comcast corporate newsroom), Xumo begins nationwide rollout of its first streaming devices in Charter and Comcast households (xumo.com, 4 October 2023) and Comcast Corporation Exhibit 21 subsidiaries list, Form 10-K for 2025 (sec.gov). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Charter Communications, Inc.. Charter's FY2025 10-K (Note 6, Investments) states: 'Equity method investments primarily includes the Company's 50/50 joint venture with Comcast Corporation ("Comcast") in Xumo Services, LLC ("Xumo"), a next generation streaming platform.' The word 'primarily' means the equity-method line is a COMBINED balance covering Xumo plus other unnamed equity-method investees, so per the brief's rule against assigning a combined balance to one investee, value_usd is left null rather than reporting the combined total as Xumo's value. That combined total was $503 million at 31 Dec 2025 versus $376 million at 31 Dec 2024 (both figures in 'Investments,' recorded in other noncurrent assets), and is disclosed only in the 10-K; the Q2 2026 10-Q does not repeat this investments table. Losses on equity investments, net ($357m FY2025, $331m FY2024, $343m FY2023, per the income statement) are described in the same note as 'primarily related to our joint venture in Xumo.' Exhibit 21.1 (subsidiaries list, chtr123125exh-211.htm) does not name Xumo at all (it is a joint venture, not a majority-owned subsidiary, so it would not appear on a subsidiaries exhibit) and carries no ownership-percentage column for anything on the list, consistent with the brief's caveat that Exhibit 21 format varies and can carry nothing useful. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Xumo Services, LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
