The Asia-Pacific 1 Joint Venture is a limited liability partnership formed in 2020 between Equinix and GIC, Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, to develop and operate xScale data centers in Japan, capitalised at more than one billion US dollars at signing. Its three initial facilities, one in Osaka and two in Tokyo, were expected to supply about 138 megawatts of power capacity when fully built out, and the venture was seeded with Equinix's Tokyo TY12 and Osaka OS2 development assets plus land and development rights for a further Tokyo site. The buildings are sized for hyperscale tenants, chiefly large cloud providers taking whole halls or buildings, and sit near Equinix colocation campuses so those tenants can reach the surrounding network and customer ecosystem. Equinix provides construction management, sales and marketing, facilities management, asset management and procurement services to the venture for fees, with major decisions requiring both partners' consent.
Source
xScale Asia-Pacific 1 Joint Venture files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Equinix and GIC to Form Greater than US$1.0 Billion Joint Venture to Develop and Operate Hyperscale Data Centers in Japan (Equinix newsroom), Equinix, Inc. Form 10-K for 2022 (SEC) and Equinix, GIC to invest $1bn in three hyperscale facilities in Japan (Data Center Dynamics). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.

What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of xScale Asia-Pacific 1 Joint Venture where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
