SK South East Asia Investment is a Singapore based investment company launched in 2018 to run South Korea's SK Group's dealmaking across Southeast Asia. Five SK affiliates (SK Inc., SK E&S, SK hynix, SK Telecom and SK Innovation) each put in 200 million dollars, giving it a billion dollars of paid in capital, and it invested alongside Korea's National Pension Service. It took minority positions in Vietnamese and Malaysian companies including the conglomerates Vingroup and Masan Group, the retailer VinCommerce, the pharmacy chain Pharmacity, the drugmaker Imexpharm and AirAsia's fintech arm BigPay. From 2024 SK began unwinding the portfolio as the group redirected capital toward semiconductors, artificial intelligence and batteries, selling down Masan in November 2024, exiting Vingroup by August 2025 and selling Imexpharm to Livzon Pharmaceutical.
Source
SK South East Asia Investment Pte. Ltd. files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from SK may sell assets in Vietnam, Malaysia to raise billions of dollars (KED Global), SK offloads Vietnamese holdings in hard pivot to chips, AI and EVs (Korea JoongAng Daily) and South Korean Conglomerate SK Group Ups Investment In Fast-Growing Vietnamese Market (Forbes). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- SK hynix Inc., as of 31 Mar 2026. Value is the equity method carrying amount at 31 March 2026 of KRW 388,951 million, converted at KRW 1,523.5 to USD 1.00. That rate is SK hynix's own convenience translation rate in the same prospectus: total assets of KRW 222,829 billion are shown as USD 146,261 million, which implies 1,523.5. Net asset value share at the same date was also KRW 388,951 million. This is a book figure, not a market price. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of SK South East Asia Investment Pte. Ltd. where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
