Sistemas Automotrices de Mexico, known as Sisamex, manufactures drivetrain and braking components for commercial, agricultural and off highway vehicles in Mexico, running plants in Nuevo Leon and Jalisco. It is a Mexican joint venture between Grupo Quimmco, a Monterrey metalworking and industrial group that supplies the foundry, forging and machining base, and the heavy vehicle systems business now owned by Cummins, which contributes the axle and brake product designs and the right to build and sell them to original equipment makers in Mexico. Its axles, carriers, brakes and related components go to truck and machinery builders including Daimler Trucks, Paccar, International and John Deere.
