Shanghai CFETS-NEX International Money Broking is an interbank voice broker based in Shanghai, set up in 2007 with approval from the banking regulator now known as the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Its shareholders are the China Foreign Exchange Trade System and National Interbank Funding Center, the interbank market operator run under the People's Bank of China, which supplies the domestic market franchise, and NEX International Limited, the British holding company through which CME Group holds the former ICAP inter dealer broking interest, which supplies international broking practice. The firm arranges trades between banks and other approved financial institutions in onshore and offshore money, foreign exchange, bond, gold and over the counter derivatives markets, and sells the resulting price and market data as a service.
