Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Company, known as Yanpet, runs a petrochemical complex at Yanbu on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. It was established in 1980 and began production in 1985 as an equally split venture between Saudi Basic Industries Corporation and Mobil Yanbu Petrochemical Company, an ExxonMobil Chemical affiliate, with the American partner contributing process technology and international marketing and the Saudi side contributing the site and feedstock. The complex cracks ethane into ethylene and converts it into linear low density and high density polyethylene, monoethylene glycol, polypropylene and pyrolysis gasoline. A second cracker completed in 2001 added 800,000 tonnes a year of ethylene along with 535,000 tonnes a year of polyethylene, 410,000 tonnes a year of ethylene glycol and 260,000 tonnes a year of polypropylene, lifting total ethylene capacity to 1.7 million tonnes a year and making Yanbu one of the largest polyethylene sites in the world.
Source

The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Saudi Yanbu Petrochemicals Company (Yanpet) profile, Saudi Industri and Yanpet completes Yanbu plant expansion (Oil & Gas Journal). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.

What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Saudi Yanbu Petrochemical Company (Yanpet) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
