Sabal Trail Transmission, LLC owns and operates an interstate natural gas pipeline that runs about 515 miles from Alexander City in central Alabama, across southwest Georgia, to a terminus near Kissimmee in Orange County, Florida, where it feeds the Florida Southeast Connection line and other intrastate systems. Placed in commercial service on 3 July 2017 after a four year federal permitting process and roughly 3 billion dollars of construction, it moves on the order of 1 billion cubic feet of gas a day into Florida, and its capacity is contracted mainly to Florida Power & Light and Duke Energy Florida, which burn the gas in combined cycle power plants to meet summer cooling demand. The venture combines Enbridge, which came into the project through Spectra Energy Partners and operates the line, with the two Florida utility groups whose plants anchor its throughput.
Source
Sabal Trail Transmission, LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Sabal Trail Transmission Project Placed In-Service (PR Newswire), Sabal Trail Transmission Pipeline (Wikipedia) and Sabal Trail Transmission Project (Offshore Technology). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Duke Energy Corporation. Carrying value not disclosed by investee. Duke Energy's Gas Utilities and Infrastructure segment reported a combined $177 million of equity-method 'Investments in unconsolidated affiliates' at 31 December 2025, covering Sabal Trail together with Cardinal, Pine Needle and Hardy Storage; the 10-K does not split this balance by investee, so no carrying value can be attributed to Sabal Trail alone. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Sabal Trail Transmission, LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
