Rafineria Gdanska sp. z o.o. is the Polish company that owns and runs the oil refinery at Gdansk on the Baltic coast, a complex able to process about 10.5 million tonnes of crude a year, roughly 210,000 barrels a day, into fuels and other refined products for the Polish and regional market. The company was carved out of Grupa Lotos in 2022 as part of the remedies the European Commission required before allowing PKN Orlen to absorb Lotos, and a 30 percent shareholding was sold to Saudi Aramco that November while Orlen kept 70 percent and continued to operate the plant. The transaction came with a long term crude supply agreement covering a large share of Orlen's refining system and a study into building a mixed feed steam cracker and downstream derivatives units at the Gdansk site. The sale price drew sustained political criticism in Poland after the national audit office judged the assets to have been sold well below their worth, and the refinery was later placed on the state's list of entities under special protection.

Rafineria Gdanska sp. z o.o. files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Aramco, PKN Orlen seal deal for Gdansk refinery partnership (Oil & Gas Journal), Aramco completes three transactions with PKN ORLEN in Poland (Aramco) and State energy giant Orlen sold assets to Saudis for billions below value, finds Polish audit office (Notes From Poland). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco). Listed as an associate in the FY2025 annual report entity schedule with 30% effective ownership and share capital of PLN 1,545.0m. No separate carrying amount is disclosed: it falls inside the SAR 5,935m 'Other associates' line, so no value is recorded here. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Rafineria Gdanska sp. z o.o. where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
