QatarEnergy LNG NFS(3), known as NFS3, is a Qatari joint venture company formed in 2023 to hold a share of the North Field South liquefied natural gas project, the second phase of Qatar's North Field expansion. North Field South adds two liquefaction mega trains at Ras Laffan with a combined capacity of about 16 million tonnes a year, fed by gas from the southern part of the offshore North Field, and together with the earlier North Field East phase it is intended to raise Qatar's LNG export capacity to roughly 126 million tonnes a year. NFS3 holds a 25 percent participating interest in that project and is owned by an affiliate of QatarEnergy alongside ConocoPhillips, which was named the third and final international partner in the phase, so the company's activity is its equity share of the gas production, liquefaction and export rather than a separate operating business.
Source
QatarEnergy LNG NFS(3) (NFS3) files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from ConocoPhillips 2025 Form 10-K (SEC EDGAR), ConocoPhillips signs up for QatarEnergy's North Field South LNG expansion (Offshore Energy) and Qatar adds ConocoPhillips to NFE expansion project (Natural Gas World). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- ConocoPhillips. Same combined-balance limitation as N3: only the $1.9 billion combined Qatar carrying value (2026-06-30) is disclosed, no NFS3-specific figure. value_usd left null rather than allocated. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of QatarEnergy LNG NFS(3) (NFS3) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
