PTx Trimble is a precision agriculture technology business formed on 1 April 2024 by combining Trimble's agriculture division with AGCO's JCA Technologies unit. It sells guidance and steering systems, field autonomy, precision spraying, flow and application control, connected farm and data management software, and the displays and correction services that drive them, supplied both as factory fitted equipment on new machines and as retrofit kits for older ones. Its defining pitch is mixed fleet compatibility: the hardware is designed to work across tractors and implements from many manufacturers rather than a single brand, which is why AGCO markets it alongside, but separately from, the Fendt and Massey Ferguson factory systems. The venture combines Trimble's guidance and positioning heritage with AGCO's machine and dealer network reach.
Source
PTx Trimble files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from AGCO and Trimble Close Joint Venture, Form PTx Trimble (Trimble investor relations), AGCO and Trimble Close Joint Venture, Form PTx Trimble (PR Newswire) and PTx Trimble company website. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Trimble Inc., as of 3 Jul 2026. Trimble's 3 Jul 2026 10-Q, Note 5 ('Equity Investments'), states: 'Of the total carrying amount of equity method investments, our 15% investment in PTx Trimble was $212.1 million and $216.8 million at the end of the second quarter of 2026 and end of 2025.' Total equity method investments were $345.7 million (Q2 2026) and $340.4 million (FY2025 end), so PTx Trimble is the only individually disaggregated piece; the remainder ($133.6 million at Q2 2026, $123.6 million at FY2025 end) covers the rest of Trimble's equity method book (Caterpillar-Trimble Control Technologies, the Nikon-Trimble joint venture, the Hilti joint venture, and any smaller entities) and is NOT disaggregated per entity, so it is not assigned to any of those rows below. PTx Trimble was formed 1 Apr 2024 when Trimble contributed its precision agriculture business to a joint venture with AGCO Corporation; Trimble deconsolidated $457.3 million of net assets (including $357.4 million of goodwill), recorded its retained 15% interest at fair value under the equity method, and recognized a pre-tax gain of $1.7 billion in Q2 2024 (FY2025 10-K, Item 7 and Note 4 'Divestitures'). value_usd here uses the Q2 2026 figure ($212.1 million); the FY2025-end figure ($216.8 million) is a very close prior-period cross-check, consistent with a JV whose carrying value moves only with Trimble's proportionate share of earnings/losses and dividends rather than fair-value remeasurement. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of PTx Trimble where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
