This is the Great Western Wind Project, a 225 megawatt wind farm in Woodward and Ellis counties near the base of the Oklahoma panhandle, built by EDF Renewables and made up of 93 Vestas turbines: 30 V117 machines of 3.3 MW and 63 V100 machines of 2.0 MW. It reached commercial operation on 21 December 2016 and generates roughly enough electricity to serve 70,000 average Oklahoma homes. All of its output goes to Google under a long term power purchase agreement announced at the 2015 United Nations climate conference in Paris, feeding Google's data centre in Mayes County, Oklahoma. EDF Renewables provides operations and maintenance and round the clock remote monitoring from its operations control centre. Half of the project was sold in a deal signed on 16 June 2017 to a utility holding company that reports it simply as a non utility wind farm in Oklahoma rather than by name, which is why the interest appears under that generic label.
Source
Non-utility wind farm in Oklahoma (225 MW, unnamed project entity) files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from EDF Renewable Energy Announces Commercial Operation at Great Western Wind Project (EDF power solutions North America), EDF Renewables Signs Agreement to Sell 50% of Great Western Wind Project to Alliant Energy (EDF power solutions North America), Alliant Energy Corporation Form 10-Q for the quarter ended 31 March 2018 (SEC) and Great Western Wind Project, Oklahoma, US (Power Technology). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Alliant Energy Corporation, as of 31 Dec 2025. This is its own single line in the FY2025 10-K equity-method table (not combined with other investments): carrying value $112m at 31 Dec 2025, $107m at 31 Dec 2024. The Q2 2026 10-Q only shows equity income/loss for this line (-$4m Q2 2026, -$7m six months 2026), not an updated carrying value, so the $112m figure is dated to 31 Dec 2025 (freshest disclosed balance). Alliant does not maintain or operate the wind farm. IMPORTANT: this is accounted for under the equity method as a stake in a project entity that owns and operates the plant, per the 10-K's own equity-method table and note text ('cash equity ownership interest', 'does not maintain or operate'), not an undivided direct ownership share of the physical plant recorded as Alliant's own PP&E. On that basis it is treated here as a genuine equity holding, unlike the Wolf Creek/La Cygne/Belle River/Ludington precedents in this project, which are direct co-owned generating stations carried as the utility's own property. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Non-utility wind farm in Oklahoma (225 MW, unnamed project entity) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
