Series B of Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC is the series of the Delaware series limited liability company formed to build and own MVP Southgate, a proposed 31 mile, 30 inch diameter interstate natural gas pipeline extending from the terminus of the MVP Mainline in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to new delivery points in Rockingham County, North Carolina. As amended it carries a projected capacity of about 550 million cubic feet a day and is underpinned by precedent agreements signed in December 2023 with Public Service Company of North Carolina and Duke Energy Carolinas, with the route passing part of the Southern Virginia Mega Site at Berry Hill. The project is regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, is estimated to cost roughly 370 to 430 million dollars and is expected in service by mid 2028. EQT operates the venture, whose members also include affiliates of NextEra Energy, AltaGas and RGC Resources.
