One company in the researched set discloses a stake in Metronet, worth $4.60bn between them. Metronet is private, so no 13F reports it: a 13F covers exchange listed positions only. These figures exist because each holder disclosed the stake in its own filings.

Metronet is a United States fibre optic network operator founded in 2005 in Evansville, Indiana, which builds and runs fibre to the home infrastructure reaching more than 2.6 million homes and businesses across roughly 42,000 route miles in over 300 communities in 19 states. It was acquired in July 2025 by a joint venture of T-Mobile US and the investment firm KKR, and now operates as a wholesale open access network plus a commercial services business: it constructs, maintains and installs the network while T-Mobile Fiber holds the residential customer relationship, marketing, billing and support. KKR supplies capital for the build out and T-Mobile supplies retail distribution and the consumer brand. Metronet added the Minneapolis fibre operator US Internet in September 2025.
Source
Metronet files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from KKR Completes Acquisition of Metronet through Joint Venture, T-Mobile and KKR Announce Joint Venture to Acquire Metronet, T-Mobile joint venture to acquire Metronet in Evansville and Metronet Acquires US Internet. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- T-Mobile US, Inc., as of 30 Sept 2025. T-Mobile invested $4.6 billion cash during the quarter ended September 30, 2025 to acquire a 50% equity interest in the Metronet Holdings, LLC fiber-to-the-home joint venture with KKR & Co. Inc., along with 713,000 residential fiber customers; closed July 24, 2025. Not consolidated: accounted for under the equity method, same treatment as Lumos, so this is a genuine minority equity stake. No separate current carrying value for Metronet alone is disclosed; the $4.6 billion is the acquisition-date cash investment. T-Mobile does not anticipate further capital contributions under the existing business plan. sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Metronet where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
