Source
MegaMex Foods, LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from MegaMex Foods, LLC on Hormel Foods, Our Family of Companies, Hormel Foods and Herdez Del Fuerte Announce Close of MegaMex Foods Agreement and MegaMex acquires Fresherized Foods. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Hormel Foods Corporation. Q2 FY2026 10-Q (period 26 Apr 2026, filed 28 May 2026), Note D - Investments in Affiliates, Ownership table: 'MegaMex Foods, LLC, Retail, 50%'. Unchanged from the FY2025 10-K's Note D (as of 26 Oct 2025), which shows the same 50% and additionally states in Item 1 Business (also unchanged across both filings): 'The Company's sales team is also responsible for the product portfolio of MegaMex Foods, a U.S. based Mexican food company, of which the Company owns a minority interest.' The balance-sheet line 'Investments in Affiliates' ($568,549 thousand at 26 Apr 2026, $533,984 thousand at 26 Oct 2025) is a COMBINED total covering MegaMex, Joy Topco L.P., The Purefoods-Hormel Company Inc., Garudafood, Okinawa Hormel Ltd, and Corporate Venturing Investments together with no per-entity split disclosed for MegaMex, Purefoods-Hormel, or Okinawa Hormel; per the brief's rule against assigning a combined balance to one investee, value_usd is left null here (see notes and unknowns for the combined figure). sourcesource 2
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of MegaMex Foods, LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
