Medallion Data Centres is a carrier neutral colocation and interconnection operator based in Nigeria, running facilities in Lagos and in the capital, Abuja. Its Lagos campus is the main connectivity hub of West Africa: more than 70 carriers and internet service providers connect there, it carries the large majority of public peering traffic on the Nigerian Internet Exchange, and it acts as a landing and peering point for the subsea cables serving Nigeria. The business was bought in 2021 by a joint venture of Digital Realty and the Pembani Remgro Infrastructure Fund, which also acquired adjacent land in Lagos for expansion, and it opened a second Lagos facility, LOS2, in October 2023 adding a megawatt of IT capacity. Founding chief executive Ike Nnamani continued to lead the company, which has since been rebranded to Digital Realty.
Source
Medallion files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Digital Realty Expands Coverage and Capacity of PlatformDIGITAL Across Africa, Digital Realty to Acquire Medallion Data Centres in Nigeria and Medallion Opens New Data Centre in Lagos, Rebrands to Digital Realty. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Digital Realty Trust, Inc., as of 30 Jun 2026. 10-Q Note 5 footnote (3): 'Medallion (60%)' within the combined EMEA balance. Despite the 60% majority stake, treated as an unconsolidated equity-method investment per the note's governance discussion (joint control requiring unanimous consent on major decisions). Combined-balance trap, value left null. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Medallion where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
