Ma'aden Phosphate Company mines phosphate rock in Saudi Arabia and turns it into fertiliser. It was set up under a joint venture agreement concluded in September 2007 between the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, for an initial 25 year term, and incorporated on 1 January 2008. It works two linked sites. At Al-Jalamid, in the far north of the kingdom, it mines phosphate ore and upgrades it in a beneficiation plant designed for 4.6 million tonnes a year of concentrate, which then travels by rail to the Gulf coast. At Ras Al-Khair it runs a sulphuric acid plant of 4.6 million tonnes a year, a phosphoric acid plant of 1.37 million tonnes a year of P2O5, an ammonia plant of about 1.1 million tonnes a year and a granulation plant that combines the acid and the ammonia into diammonium phosphate fertiliser. Sulphur and the natural gas used to make ammonia are bought from Saudi Aramco, which runs a dedicated pipeline to Ras Al-Khair. Ammonia production started in October 2011 and fertiliser production in February 2012.
Source
Ma'aden Phosphate Company (MPC) files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) GMTN Programme offering circular, February 2025 (London Stock Exchange), Ma'aden Phosphate Company ammonia plant (Global Energy Monitor) and Ma'aden announces partnership to develop new integrated phosphate complex with Mosaic and SABIC (SABIC). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.

What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Ma'aden Phosphate Company (MPC) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
