Little Missouri 4 LLC owns the LM4 cryogenic natural gas processing plant in McKenzie County, North Dakota, on Targa Resources' existing Little Missouri site south of the Missouri River in the Bakken and Three Forks shale plays of the Williston Basin. The plant takes in up to 200 million cubic feet a day of raw associated gas produced alongside Bakken crude oil, strips out the natural gas liquids and returns residue gas to the pipeline grid. It was announced in January 2018 as a fifty fifty venture between Targa and Hess Midstream, at an estimated construction cost of about 150 million dollars gross plus roughly 100 million dollars of connecting pipeline, and it entered service in 2019. Targa built the plant and operates it, while Hess Midstream gained processing capacity for the gas gathered from Hess's Bakken acreage.
Source
Little Missouri 4 LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Targa Resources Corp. Form 10-K for 2025 (sec.gov), Hess Midstream Partners announces strategic joint venture to build new gas processing plant in North Dakota (Oilfield Technology) and Hess, Targa partnering to expand Bakken natural gas processing takeaway (Natural Gas Intelligence). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Targa Resources Corp., as of 30 Jun 2026. Equity-method investment, Gathering and Processing segment (Badlands/Bakken area). Carrying value on Targa's own balance sheet was $93.7 million at 31 Dec 2025 and $94.7 million at 30 Jun 2026 per the Q2 2026 10-Q's roll-forward table (equity earnings $8.3m, cash distributions -$7.6m, contributions $0.3m over the six months). This is Targa's book carrying value of its equity-method stake, not an independently sourced fair value of the whole entity. The identity of the other 50% owner/operator counterparty was not found in the sections of the 10-K/10-Q searched. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Little Missouri 4 LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
