Who owns Jamestown
One company in the researched set discloses a stake in Jamestown, none of it sized by anyone who discloses it. Jamestown is private, so no 13F reports it: a 13F covers exchange listed positions only. These figures exist because each holder disclosed the stake in its own filings.

Jamestown is a real estate investment and management firm founded in 1983 by the German investor Christoph Kahl and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. It raises capital from investors, originally mostly German retail savers and more recently individuals through a fund with a 2,500 dollar minimum, and deploys it into commercial and mixed use property in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Its signature approach is adaptive reuse: buying underused industrial, market or office buildings in dense urban districts and redeveloping them into retail, workplace and destination space. Projects it has developed or owned include Chelsea Market and One Times Square in Manhattan, Industry City in Brooklyn, Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Ghirardelli Square and Levi's Plaza in San Francisco, the Innovation and Design Buildings in Boston and Lisbon, and Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam. The firm reported 13.1 billion dollars of assets under management as of 30 June 2022 and roughly 40 billion dollars of transactions since inception. Matt Bronfman is chief executive and Michael Phillips is president.
Source
Jamestown files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Jamestown and Simon Announce Strategic Partnership (PR Newswire, October 2022), Jamestown L.P. (Wikipedia) and Simon Property Group Acquires 50 Percent Stake in Jamestown (Commercial Observer). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Simon Property Group, Inc., as of 30 Jun 2026. 10-Q: 'a 50% noncontrolling ownership interest in Jamestown,' described as 'a global real estate investment and management company.' Value null: same combined 'other platform investments' balance as Catalyst, RGG and Phoenix Retail, no individual carrying value disclosed. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Jamestown where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
