i3 Broadband is an Illinois based fiber to the premises internet provider that builds and runs its own networks and sells gigabit internet, WiFi, streaming and traditional television and digital phone service to homes and businesses. Its footprint covers northern, central and southeastern Illinois including Peoria, Pekin and Champaign Urbana, the greater St. Louis area in Missouri, and several Rhode Island communities, with roughly 500,000 households expected to be passed by the end of 2026. The company traces back to Bitwise Communications, a dial up wholesaler started in 1994, laid its first Illinois fiber in 2003, traded as iTV-3 from 2009 and took the i3 Broadband name in 2016, then expanded by acquisition, buying Rhode Island's Full Channel in 2018 and southeast Missouri's Big River Broadband in 2023. In April 2026 T-Mobile and infrastructure investor Wren House agreed to buy it into a fifty fifty venture, after which management said it would rebrand as T-Fiber.

i3 Broadband files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from About Us (i3 Broadband), T-Mobile Strengthens Next-Generation Broadband Portfolio with Two Strategic Fiber Partnerships (T-Mobile Newsroom), i3 Broadband Expands by Completing the Acquisition of Southeast Missouri's Big River Broadband/Circle Fiber (Business Wire) and T-Mobile and partners to acquire GoNetspeed, Greenlight Networks, and i3 Broadband (Telecompetitor). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- T-Mobile US, Inc., as of 24 Apr 2026. NOT YET CLOSED. On April 24, 2026, T-Mobile entered a definitive agreement with an affiliate of Wren House Infrastructure Management Limited to establish a joint venture that will acquire i3 Broadband, one of Wren House's existing fiber portfolio companies. Expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, at which time T-Mobile expects to invest approximately $700 million to acquire a 50% equity interest and substantially all existing residential fiber customers. Modelled/estimated because the transaction had not closed as of the Q2 2026 10-Q (filed 2026-07-23); the $700 million is management's own stated expectation, not a completed investment. Confidence is 'contingent' rather than 'estimated': the brief reserves 'estimated' for a figure this research derived, which would carry low_shares, high_shares and the arithmetic, whereas this value is the transaction's own announced consideration and the stake itself does not exist until the deal closes. Same treatment as the Comcast NBCUniversal spin-off entities elsewhere in this database. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of i3 Broadband where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
