Hyundai Oilbank, renamed HD Hyundai Oilbank, is one of South Korea's four large oil refiners, running an integrated refining and petrochemical complex at Daesan in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, which also serves as its head office. The company and its subsidiaries refine crude into transport fuels, produce base oils and petrochemicals, and sell through a national network of roughly 2,400 service and charging stations. Its refining capacity is about 650,000 barrels per day, of which the Daesan complex accounts for around 561,000 barrels per day. The business was founded in 1964 as Kukdong Oil Industry, was acquired by the Hyundai group in 1993, and now sits within HD Hyundai Group alongside the group's shipbuilding and heavy industry arms.
