Fifth Wall is a venture capital manager that invests in technology for the built environment, the sector usually called proptech, and it raises its funds largely from real estate operators rather than from conventional institutional investors. Founded in 2016 by Brendan Wallace and Brad Greiwe and based in Los Angeles with offices in San Francisco and London, it takes its name from the idea of a fifth wall of technology wrapping the four physical walls of a building. Its limited partners are around 115 property owners and operators in more than 20 countries, among them CBRE, Hilton, Hines, Marriott, Public Storage, Related and Starwood, and they receive introductions to the portfolio companies in exchange for their capital. Its first two proptech funds raised 212 million dollars in 2017 and 503 million dollars in 2019, a climate fund aimed at decarbonising real estate closed at 500 million dollars, and its investments include Opendoor, Procore, Blend, Hippo, Bilt Rewards, ClassPass and ICON.
Source
Fifth Wall Ventures files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Wikipedia: Fifth Wall (firm), About (Fifth Wall) and Fifth Wall, focused on real estate tech and managing $3.2B, looks to eat up even more of its market (TechCrunch). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc., as of 31 Dec 2025. FY2025 10-K Investments in Affiliates table lists 'Fifth Wall Ventures' with a carrying value (Our Investment) of $28 million as of both 31 Dec 2025 and 31 Dec 2024 (unchanged), described only as 'Real estate industry technology investment', with $1 million distributions received in 2025. No ownership percentage of the Fifth Wall fund/vehicle is disclosed anywhere in the filing, so pct_of_target is left null rather than estimated. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Fifth Wall Ventures where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
