Dos Caminos is a natural gas pipeline joint venture in the Eagle Ford shale of South Texas, formed by Howard Energy Partners and an affiliate of Eagle Ford Midstream, the NextEra Energy Partners business whose STX Midstream package Kinder Morgan bought in December 2023. Its main asset is the Spears system, roughly 62 miles of 36 inch pipe running from Howard Energy Partners' existing midstream facilities in Webb County to the Kinder Morgan Tejas Pipeline compressor station at Freer, Texas, together with compression, treating and dehydration facilities at the Webb County end. The system went into service in the fourth quarter of 2023 and is reported at about 75 miles of pipeline with roughly 1.2 billion cubic feet per day of design capacity. It moves Eagle Ford production into the larger Kinder Morgan and Howard networks serving Gulf Coast industrial demand, LNG export terminals and pipeline exports to Mexico. Howard Energy Partners operates the pipeline.

Dos Caminos, LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Kinder Morgan and Howard Energy Partners Announce Expansions of Their Respective Eagle Ford Natural Gas Transportation Systems (Kinder Morgan investor news, 2023), Kinder Morgan, Inc. Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2023 (SEC) and Kinder Morgan, Howard Expand Eagle Ford Gas Network (Journal of Petroleum Technology). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Kinder Morgan, Inc., as of 31 Dec 2025. Equity-method joint venture interest, not a share count. FY2025 10-K states 50% ownership and a $181 million carrying value at 31 Dec 2025 ($188 million at 31 Dec 2024). source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Dos Caminos, LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
