Dongfeng Cummins Engine Company, known as DCEC, is a Chinese engine manufacturer set up in 1996 as an equal joint venture between Cummins and Dongfeng Automotive Co., a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Corporation and one of China's largest medium and heavy duty truck builders. The partnership itself dates back to a technology relationship begun in 1986. DCEC builds diesel engines from 2.5 to 14.5 litres covering roughly 80 to 770 horsepower, along with natural gas engines and automated transmissions, meeting Chinese emissions standards up to China VI. Its on highway engines go into light, medium and heavy duty trucks, special purpose vehicles and buses, and its off highway engines into construction machinery, marine vessels and generator sets. Cummins contributes the engine designs, fuel systems, aftertreatment and other components, while Dongfeng provides the domestic truck platforms and distribution. The plant sits in the high technology development zone at Xiangyang in Hubei Province, and DCEC produced its one millionth engine in May 2007.

Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.

What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Dongfeng Cummins Engine Company, Ltd. where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
