Credit Bureau (Cambodia) Co Ltd, known as CBC, is Cambodia's national credit bureau, which began operating in March 2012 with backing from the National Bank of Cambodia, the country's banking and microfinance associations and the International Finance Corporation. It collects borrower data from lenders and supplies consumer and commercial credit reports, credit scores, analytics and portfolio monitoring tools to commercial and specialised banks, microfinance institutions, leasing companies and rural credit operators, and it sells reports directly to individual consumers. It is a joint venture between Credit Bureau Holding (Cambodia) Limited, which represents the local banking and microfinance industry associations, and Equifax Cambodia Holding, a Singapore incorporated vehicle. The National Bank of Cambodia regulates the bureau and uses its data to monitor credit market conditions, and by December 2022 CBC served a member base of 185 financial institutions.
Source
Credit Bureau (Cambodia) Co Ltd files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Latest Progress in Credit Reporting to Promote Financial Inclusion in Cambodia (International Finance Corporation, 2019), Credit Bureau Cambodia Annual Report 2020 (Open Development Cambodia) and Credit Bureau (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (CBC), International Business Chamber of Cambodia member profile. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Equifax Inc.. Equifax's FY2025 10-K and Q2 2026 10-Q both state, in Item 1, that Equifax has 'investments in consumer and/or commercial credit information companies through joint ventures in Brazil, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore.' Neither filing discloses the entity name, percentage or carrying value. The last SEC filing to disclose the ownership chain with percentages was Equifax's FY2019 Exhibit 21.1 (filed 2020-02-20, subsidiary list as of 31 Dec 2019): 'Registrant's subsidiary Equifax New Zealand Information Services and Solutions Limited owns... 51% of Equifax Cambodia Holdings Pte Limited (Singapore) which owns 49% of Credit Bureau (Cambodia) Co Ltd (Cambodia).' Equifax New Zealand Information Services and Solutions Limited is itself 100% Equifax-owned per that exhibit's default rule ('The Registrant owns, directly or indirectly, 100% of the stock of the following subsidiaries... except as noted'). Modelled effective Equifax interest: 51% x 49% = 24.99%. This researcher confirmed 'Equifax Cambodia Holdings Pte Limited' still appears by name in the current FY2025 Exhibit 21.1 (filed 2026-02-19, list as of 31 Dec 2025), which supports the intermediate entity still existing, but that current exhibit carries no percentage column at all (a format change from the 2019 exhibit), so the 24.99% figure itself is not reconfirmed and could have moved. Treated as modelled/estimated rather than filed for this reason; low/high left null because there is no basis to bound a range beyond the single 2019 figure. sourcesource 2source 3
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Credit Bureau (Cambodia) Co Ltd where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
