Who owns Catalyst Brands LLC
One company in the researched set discloses a stake in Catalyst Brands LLC, none of it sized by anyone who discloses it. Catalyst Brands LLC is private, so no 13F reports it: a 13F covers exchange listed positions only. These figures exist because each holder disclosed the stake in its own filings.

Catalyst Brands LLC is an American apparel and department store retailer created on 19 December 2024, when J.C. Penney acquired the retail operations of SPARC Group and the combined company was renamed Catalyst Brands. It is headquartered in Plano, Texas and led by Marc Rosen, previously chief executive of JCPenney. The group runs five consumer brands through their own stores and websites: the JCPenney department store chain, the tailored clothing label Brooks Brothers, the teen retailer Aeropostale, the denim label Lucky Brand and the casual and nautical label Nautica. Eddie Bauer was also in the portfolio when the company was formed, held under licence from Authentic Brands Group, and filed for Chapter 11 protection in January 2026.
Source
Catalyst Brands LLC files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Simon Property Group Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2025, Catalyst Brands official website and Wikipedia: Catalyst Brands. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Simon Property Group, Inc., as of 30 Jun 2026. 10-Q: 'As of June 30, 2026, we own a 31.3% noncontrolling interest in Catalyst.' Catalyst Brands LLC (formerly SPARC Group) was formed in Q4 2024 when J.C. Penney acquired SPARC Group's retail operations in an all-equity transaction; the combined business was renamed Catalyst. Value is null because the carrying value of Catalyst is not broken out: the 10-Q gives only a COMBINED balance-sheet and income-statement table for 'our other platform investments' (Catalyst, Rue Gilt Groupe and Jamestown together, plus Phoenix Retail is referenced in the same paragraph), with no per-investee carrying amount. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Catalyst Brands LLC where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
