Who owns Canpotex Limited
One company in the researched set discloses a stake in Canpotex Limited, none of it sized by anyone who discloses it. Canpotex Limited is private, so no 13F reports it: a 13F covers exchange listed positions only. These figures exist because each holder disclosed the stake in its own filings.

Canpotex Limited is the export marketing and logistics company for Saskatchewan potash, jointly owned in equal shares by Mosaic and Nutrien and based in Saskatoon. It handles overseas sales of the potash mined at its shareholders' nine Saskatchewan mines, selling into more than 40 countries outside Canada and the United States, and it also runs the physical supply chain: dedicated potash railcars, unit trains of up to 205 cars, port terminals at Vancouver, Portland, Thunder Bay and Saint John, and chartered ocean vessels. About 15 million tonnes move each year over roughly 700 train trips, mostly westward on the 2,000 kilometre run to the Pacific coast. Fifteen grades of potash are marketed. The company was incorporated in 1970 as Potexco Limited, renamed Canpotex the same year, and took over sales and distribution from its member producers in 1972.
Source
Canpotex Limited files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Canpotex: About Us, Canpotex: Our History, Canpotex: Transportation Logistics, Canpotex home page and Wikipedia: Canpotex. The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- The Mosaic Company. FY2025 10-K, Note 9 (equity-method investments table): 'Canpotex 36.2%'. Canpotex is described as 'a Saskatchewan export association used by two Canadian potash producers to market, sell and distribute Canadian potash products outside of Canada and the U.S.,' operating as a break-even entity with insignificant equity earnings; sales to Canpotex are treated as not at arm's length. The other member (implicitly Nutrien, the only other major Canadian potash producer, though not named in the reviewed text) is not disclosed by name in the passages read, so no cross-check of the two halves summing to 100 could be performed; if Nutrien's own filings disclose the counterpart interest that would be the check to run. No standalone value disclosed: covered by the same combined $9.8 million 'share of equity in net assets' figure as River Bend Ag and IFC S.A. Left unsized per the project's rule against assigning a combined balance to one investee. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Canpotex Limited where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
