- joint venture
- Based in
- Saudi Arabia
BHIG owns and operates an integrated industrial gases complex at Jubail Industrial City in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, together with the pipeline network that distributes its output to refineries and petrochemical plants along the coast. The plant combines a world scale steam methane reformer producing hydrogen, an air separation unit producing oxygen and nitrogen, and pressure swing adsorption units that recover hydrogen from customer off gases. The company was built by Air Products Qudra, itself a venture between Air Products and Qudra Energy, part of Vision Invest, and in March 2025 Saudi Aramco took a half share alongside it. The plan behind that pairing is to turn the site's output into lower carbon or blue hydrogen by routing the carbon dioxide from the reformer into Aramco's carbon capture and storage operations at Jubail, with Aramco holding options to take hydrogen and nitrogen offtake.
Source
Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company (BHIG) files nothing with the SEC, so none of this comes from a filer record. The description was written for this site in August 2026 from Aramco to acquire 50% stake in Air Products Qudra's Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company (Aramco), Air Products Qudra Breaks Ground for Fully-Integrated Industrial Gases Hub in Jubail, Saudi Arabia (Air Products investor relations) and Saudi's Aramco to buy 50% stake in Jubail-based lower-carbon hydrogen producer (Gulf News). The ownership figures below come from the holders' filings instead, and are sourced row by row.
The disclosed stakes
One row per position. Where a holder reports the same company in two share classes, both rows are shown rather than summed, because the class is part of a position's identity.
Where each figure comes from
A private stake has no ownership form behind it, so the source is always the holder's own filing or disclosure. Anything modelled says so, with the arithmetic.
- Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.. In January 2025, APD's 51%-owned consolidated subsidiary Air Products Qudra (APQ) issued equity in its wholly owned subsidiary BHIG, resulting in a 50/50 joint venture between APQ and Saudi Aramco Development Company (a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, covered separately in this database as saudi-aramco.json). This deconsolidated BHIG from APD's financial statements; APD's resulting indirect interest (51% of APQ x 50% of BHIG = 25.5%, stated in the filing as 26%) is now an equity-method investment. Part of the combined equity affiliates balance; no individually disclosed value. source
What this page is not
It is not a complete register. It lists the holders who happen to be inside the researched set and disclosed the stake themselves. A private company can have many other shareholders, and nothing here rules them out: venture investors, founders and employees usually appear in no public filing at all. Percentages are of Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company (BHIG) where a holder stated one, and are missing where no holder did.
